Seriously.  Sleep apnea can be deadly.

I love my job and its fun and lighthearted most of the time. However, recently, I find myself having serious conversations with clients who’ve been referred to me by their doctor to see if myofunctional therapy will improve their sleep disordered breathing. While it makes me very happy that more and more doctors are getting behind the benefits of myofunctional therapy, it saddens me that many people haven’t learned sooner about the benefits of myofunctional therapy. So, as I do every month, I choose a topic to really focus my education on and my own research and understanding on.  And for September, it’s sleep apnea.  If I can educate just one more person about sleep apnea and how to treat it or if I can get just one more husband or wife to follow through on that sleep study, then I feel as if I’ve done my job!

The infograhic, “Sleep Apnea 101”, explains the symptoms, commonly used terms, primary causes, linked health conditions, diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea.

Super seriously.  If you or someone you know has sleep apnea, suspects they have sleep apnea or have been told to get a sleep study done, then we need to talk.  Myofunctional therapy has been shown to be very effective in the treatment of sleep apnea and improving disruptions during sleeping.  At the end of the day, my goal is to work to prevent sleep apnea, and it all starts with the tongue, the throat muscles and how they all  function together.  The back of the tongue is the front of the airway.  Is yours causing problems?

Super duper seriously.  I’ll give you 50% off your comprehensive exam if you schedule it during September.  Email me here to get that special.  I want you to get help to improve or eradicate your nighttime sleeping issues.  Seriously.
