Do I have a tongue-tie? And does it matter?
Facebook groups make this a very hot topic. Almost as if people find comfort in talking about what is wrong, and searching for that needle in the haystack to make a person feel like a “normal” person again. Define “normal” right?! “Do I have a tongue-tie? Can you look at this photo? What d’ya think?”
Well, one thing I know for sure…as much as those FB groups can drive me bonkers sometimes, I guess it creates a place where people can learn about myo (or at least get introduced to the phrase). It may not be the best learning, but it opens some doors.
That’s where I step in…I try to swoop in and teach you how to sort out MISinformation from great information!
In this weeks video, I talk about this hot topic: do I have a tongue-tie? There is not a down and dirty answer to this common question, but I get you on the right path. Afterwards, you might want to get an exam with a myofunctional therapist!
I’m not the only source of brilliance out there either! You may have heard of Dr. Soroush Zaghi, at the Breathe Institute in California. He has oodles of great information out there for you. You can start here with his video on “Tongue-tie: The Facts“.
Also, if you want the FREE assessment tool, I’m happy to email it to you. Just check out the box at the bottom of this post, and its yours! It might help you determine if you have a tongue-tie, and what you should do about it.
