Can a frenectomy help relieve some of my symptoms?

Not all of the symptoms, but can a frenectomy help relieve some of the symptoms of a tongue-tie?  One would surely hope so.  With that said, its important to make sure that your “problems” are a symptom of a tongue-tie, or myofunctional impairment and not something else.

For example…I’ve had clients who had A. L. O. T. going on.  And by a lot, I mean that baby daddy wasn’t paying support, the broke down Pontiac was towed when the HOA finally snapped, granny was on the bottle again, and to top it off, the gutters were falling down.  Now, this sounds like a hot mess….well it was, but…the client didn’t have a lot of symptoms of a tongue-tie.  Quite a bit of myofunctional impairment, but not such big concerns about the tie.  It’s the million dollar question when someone reaches out to me.  Can a frenectomy relieve some of the symptoms of a tongue-tie?

In this weeks video, I talk about this.  I wish I could scream “yes”!!  But it really depends on IF the symptom is CAUSED by myofunctional impairment.  For example, if you are taking a medicine that causes you to have a tummy ache….then it’s a pretty good guess that your symptom of stomach upset isn’t going to subside after a frenectomy.

Afterwards if you still have questions about your symptoms, I would suggest that you get an exam with a myofunctional therapist!

Also,  if you want the FREE assessment tool, I’m happy to email it to you.  Just check out the box at the bottom of this post, and its yours!  It might help you determine if you have a tongue-tie, and what you should do about it.
