Frenectomy:  Healing and Recovery Expectations

If there ever was a time…don’t screw it up now. Frenectomy healing and recovery is a big, big piece of the plan! I beg, plead, preach and teach my clients that I can’t help them optimize their oral function if they screw up the frenectomy healing and recovery process by not doing what they are told.  This is such an important time.  I have some clients who are “tween” age and aren’t complying with therapy.  I stress that its nearly a waste of time in many cases to go ahead with the procedure if the kiddo isn’t performing…because I see it over and over and over….reattachment of the tissue from failure to comply with post-operative instructions and now we’re back at square one.  This goes for adults too!

Not a fun place to be, for either…the client or me.  Because it makes me the bad guy, and I’m all about being the Myofunctional Superhero…not the bad guy. 👎👎👎

When you watch this video, you will certainly discover why I say this is a critical time!
